The purpose of fundraising is to keep our school fees at an affordable level and ensures that the School continues to be a quality learning environment in which both students and staff thrive.
A major subcommittee of the School council is Fundraising. It presents a financial statement to the School Council every month. This small committee is responsible for planning all fundraising ventures and delegating tasks to volunteer parents.
The major form of fundraising is weekly Bingo, which raises on average between $25-$30,000 per year. Other forms of fundraising are: – the Twilight Carnival, a chocolate drive, the school/parish fete, school photos, trivia night and mother/fathers day stalls to name but a few. The students and staff of Holy Spirit appreciate every charitable and unselfish act of kindness, assistance and donation the committee and volunteers share with us. These acts are the hallmark of our community.
As well as raising funds, these activities of the fundraising committee provide valuable social experiences for those involved. Work and fun at the same time! We encourage ALL our families to become actively involved.
